Yctc Lovin

Hello loves of my life! i havent heard from some of you in far too long! you know who you are ( as in not elizabeth becuase i just got off the phone with you) Anyway i can't believe that most of you are in school i don't go back until the twelth so its very weird that there are people who are not sleeping late and are in fact learning things(maybe). So have i told you all how much i miss you!!! cause i do! I want to be working on a show desperatly even though i know it would not be the same as yctc getting on sage and doing something sometimes seems to fill the vast empty void that is left whenever i must leave the fabulousness that is yctc. Speaking of void filling I recently read Winter's Tale and Cymbeline. i loved winter's tale and liked cymbeline though i would not suggest reading them together as the similar plot devices tend to get tiresome. Oh yeah and i read king lear right after camp but i had read it before and i just love it...alot i would love to play Goneril or Regan because well playing a crazy bitch is fun . Also i watched the movie Titus which is kind of amazing for those of you who haven't seen it go watch it! And I got a job in a theatre! yay minimum wage!
Come to DC and visit me! I'm expecting calls and emails and letters from all of you because i love you madly and miss you all like crazy!!!!

love love love

school... hmmmm

well i started school today... and i have a pretty good schedule and i'm pretty happy with it. except there's no yctcers! i keep seeing the back of people heads and thinking.. "could.. could that be who i think it is... no! that's just silliness why the hell would they be at TA... but maybe..." and then its not you. and i'm bummed out for another 15 minutes. i guess what i'm saying is i miss all you guys more than...someone who misses something a lot... you know.

but hopefully i'll be able to spread the word about yctc because (i wont be able to shut up about it in theatre class) and i'll be teaching stage combat and doing warm-ups and hopefully helping out on our shakespeare session (if i hope to god we have it.) so hopefully we'll have some more recruits for yctc next year!!!

hope you guys are recruiting too cause i'm keeping count!

miss you all
mark.

WRATH

OK guys, I am SEETHING WITH FURY so I will vent it on you (because you are the ones who will sympathize with my rage). Then remind you again of how much I love you. But first:

THE RANT
Once upon a time (just now) I logged on to Netflix. "Hum dee dum," I said to myself, "what movies might I want to add to the queue? Hmmm, perhaps I will look up Shakespeare films. Aha, here is Much Ado About Nothing. Aha, here is A Midsummer Night's Dream. I have seen both of these movies. Hmm, perhaps I shall read the user comments for A Midsummer Night's Dream."
So, never dreaming what lay ahead, I scrolled down....
And read the following comment, from AL of Hershey, PA!!!!!!!!!!!
They speak Olde English in this movie and it is impossible to understand. I hope you like subtitles.
Then about an Othello film, the same AL of Hershey, PA wrote:
The actors are speaking old English in this movie and it is impossible to understand, in particular the manipulations of Iago. The only good thing is Lawrence Fishburne.

I am not even going to comment on the many reasons that this is stupid, because you already know.
Also on the Midsummer page someone referred to "Tuck" (hmmm, perhaps they mean Puck????)).
GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is if us YCTC people ever met AL of Hershey, PA....we would BEAT HIM UP!!!!

OK, rant over. As always, I love you all to death. And reading all your emails and posts.
~Caroline

you WISH you could be this cool...

guys - you need to help me to get all of the missing YCTCers to join this blog so that everyone can stay in touch. this is lame. bah.

Come back and play.

HOLY SAINT FRANCIS!

There are so many posts going up, and this makes me very happy... in the pants, that is. hehe.

I miss you all dreadfully, love you even more, and am here to tell you ALL that it is IMPERATIVE that you come back to Staunton and play with me. OH and in other news, order Mollie’s fREAKIN SWEET t-shirt now. I did. And so should you.

In all seriousness (am I capable of that?), you all are amazing and beautiful and talented and wow. I await your arrival in Staunton with much anticipation.

Until then-- Peace, love, and baby kisses,

Fray fray

AmAzInG

Hey guys. I'll try to make this as sap-free as possible, but for me, well...you know how I am.

Just wanted to say that all of you are the most amazing, talented, energetic, supportive people I know. As Jack said, I have probably made the closest friends here I have and I'll be damned if I don't keep in touch.

In case the email or my incessant IMing you didn't get it through your head, BUY THIS:

I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE SO MANY OF YOU LITTLE FUCKERS THIS WEEKEND!! WEEE!!

Saturday, August 05, 2006

Hi guys

Hi everyone....okay, I am going to be spending the next week in the mountains with my mom's family...and (I hope) returning on Saturday just in time to come see the Session 2 shows on Sunday!
I went to see West Side Story two days ago--it was amazingly good, but the whole time I kept trying to find things wrong with it so I could say "It wasn't as good as the Blackfriars stuff!!" I have to say that I wasn't having much success, because it was a really fantastic production. Although there was one point where they had one of the actors actually slap another one (lightly, but still), and I immediately thought, "Oh my god that's exactly what Jeremy told us not to do during our stage combat classes because you could really hurt someone by doing that!!!!!!!!"
Oh yeah, and I watched Sense and Sensibility last night w/ a bunch of friends and couldn't help thinking that if I was watching it w/ YCTCers, we would all be reciting along for the Sonnet #116 part!!!!!!!!!!!!
lots of love!! -C.
PS I'M FIFTEEN NOW!!!! YAY!!!!!!

HAPPY BDAY CAROLINE!!!

more sappy lamentations from Caroline

Hi everyone...since Mollie sent me the invitation twice I decided that I couldn't keep forgetting to register anymore. So anyway, I still miss all of you like "WHOA". Wonderwall came on the radio the other day whilst I was at the bookstore & I was like "Must...stay...calm....am...out...in..public....". So yeah. Well let me say that I would much rather be reading Shakespeare than my @#$2@$ summer reading, and that shall be all for now. Am going to try my hardest to come to the Session 2 shows, so am hope to see some of y'all pretty soon.
lots of love from Caroline
PS Hey Elena, I was in Frisco the week after camp!!! (near the native american museum thingy) That's soooo cool!!!!!!!
